Tipton (West Midlands) pubs

For anyone passing through the DY4 area I can highly recommend a visit to the following. My only interest is as a satisfied customer keen to spread the word:

Waggon & Horses, Ocker Hill. 6-8 cask ales including their own Toll End beers brewed on the premises.

Port 'n' Ale, Great Bridge. Up to 10 constantly changing well kept cask ales. Currently includes Sarah Hughes Sedgley Surprise, Burton Bridge Stairway to Heaven, Bathams Bitter, Archers Golden, Exmoor Gold, Pardoes Entire, Oakham JHB, Fullers London Pride. Excellent good value food.

Isn't Tipton where those three Guantanamo bay prisoners came from?

Perhaps it's a plot, get some decent cask ales down them and they're less likely to explode.

Yes indeed, couldn't agree more. But whilst the Rising Sun is fairly well established the aforementioned two are fairly recent 'contenders'. I'm fairly happy about this as my *immediate* local area (ie: walking distance) was formerly somewhat real beer-less :-)
