Wetherspoons poor service?

If you look at the Curry club menus it clearly shows Pedigree available for all club nights.

True, but our local Wetherspoon's doesn't sell Marstons! I think that one has to see it as an illustration of a real ale example rather than a promise to provide that particular brew :)

And if you look at the small print it says that a substitute may be provided.

they banned it here at the end of March (Wick, Highlands). Doesn't seem to be much of a drop off in customers.

They seemed to in Warrington. They had a cleaning list in the disabled toilets but it was seldom ticked as done! Now they don't have the list.

I thought the information so far indicated that some pubs were neutral in sales and others were up, but overall the effect was increased sales to the tune of about 12-15 percent.

From all accounts even died in the wool smokers are giving up and drinking instead.

Died in a whirl of smoke or dyed in the wool? :-)

I've been in more than one 'Spoons where they've been happy to give me a guest ale as part of the curry deal; I just asked nicely.

Deliberate short-measure combined with refusal to top up.
