Bad luck abounds, can we please have more stelvin, better storage?

So I opened the 95 Ch de Ferrand St Emilion, no fruit, thin watery and acidic, not quite dead, but at best in the nursing home, the sample inthe glass had some life after a couple hours, but still no real vitality, I shall have salmon later and finish the bottle. (a rose at best)

A few weeks back i took a chance on a clsoeout at a local grocery store,

99 barolo, by Guasti clemente, corked what more can one say?

so I reach in a grab something, by now dinner is looming on the horizon, I find the Ch. de Mercues CAHORS 2000 that I picked up two years ago. I thought it tannic and rather pedestrian then, but now the tannin is softer and the fruit shines, after the first two well, I liked this wine and since I thought it the poorest of the swines I brought home from France in 04 I look forward to the remainder. The color was deep the nose well my nose is a bit burned out at present, but I can say that the finish is long and lingering and the tannins have softened on the front and give a very elegant edge to the finish. 13.5 alc but that doesn't get in the way. Now I wonder why I didn't buy more?
