hardys vs. delicato box wines

Due to price and convenience my wife and I generally drink box wines unless we have company. Up until now, the only "good" box wine available here has been Hardys. Albertsons now carries Delicato.

Any opinions on how it compares to Hardys?

The Delicato shiraz is usually pretty good for the price. We've served it at parties and no one was disappointed. This included both beginning/non wine drinkers and more experienced palates. As a matter of fact, I preferred the Delicato Shiraz over the Hardys.

The merlot wasn't too bad either, and once again worth the price. I haven't tried the other varietals.

Hi Cliff, I've purchased many boxes of the Hardys, thought it was OK. I'll try the Delicado!

Thanks, Dick R.
