The reason why I said Veuve is due to the fact, that champagne's oldest still existing producer/importer relationsship is Veuve Clicquot and the Austria family company Johann Kattus (themselves being producers of high quality sparklers here in Vienna, their premises lying in absolute top residential areas!). Their common activities date back to the 1850s, the last written contract stems from the 1920s.

Kattus being Cloudy Nay's importer to Austria, Veuve C. was near.

CB's homepage lists eiter Cape Mentelle or the "Moet Hennessy Wine Estates" as parent:

As brands, LVMH own the following in Champagne:

- Moët & Chandon

- Dom Pérignon

Five of these six are champagne houses, while Dom P., of course, is part of Moët & Chandon.

The former dual structure - Moët/Mercier/Ruinart on one side, Veuve Clicquot/Canard Duchène on the other - has ceaesed to exist for a few years. I am not sure that "Moët-Hennessy" still exists. The six brands are listed under "Wines & Spirits", together with

- Château d'Yquem

- Chandon Estates

- Hennessy

- Cloudy Bay

- Cape Mentelle

- Newton

- MountAdam

The latter says nothing to me, btw.

On another part of their homepage, they split "Chandon Estates" into:

and, while omitting MountAdam, give one further subsidiary:
