I highly recommend the new Cannon Royall IPA at 5.2%. Light coloured with a clean and very bitter palate. Something different for a winter ale but dangerously drinkable.

Are more and more _stronger_ beers being brewed to be "dangerously drinkable"?
Is this a trend?
At Oakleaf's Anniversary do on Friday I sampled the 7% Blake's Heaven, a dark winter ale and it drank like a 4.5% ale. Normally I'd only ever try a half of something so strong after several previous pints, but this time I just had to have another pint to follow. A superb beer.

I think there is certainly a trend toward lighter coloured and heavily hopped beers with less of a "heavy" character which means that stronger ales will become therefore more "dangerously drinkable".
