It has recently been refurbished, and offers traditional home cooked pub food. the atmosphere is great and their theme nights are always a sell out.. The theme nights which happen once a month, comprise of a food and music, combination which have in the past had, Carribean , Italian, English, Irish nights and many more.. This great Inn also has fantastic accomodation, in an ajoining converted barn dating from teh

If you can't even spell the name of the village where you're located it doesn't inspire confidence.

It's "Bubbenhall", by the way.

And do you sell real ale? If so, what? A bit pointless posting to a real ale newsgroup if you ignore that point.

From the look of it, the pub appears to be some dreadful kind of pub company branded establishment. Would a real pub paint "Village Inn & Accommodation" on its wall?

Yes I think it does have real ale.. but hopefully PeterE Ringtail won't be there spoiling the atmosphere.

Is this the Malt Shovel? Has the landlord changed in the last 6 months?

Hi,

I popped in again to this great establishment, "The Three Horse Shoes", in Bubbenhall, and yes it does have real ale, Hooky, Bombardier and Brew XI. I ate at the restaurant this time and the food was excellent. So I guess that if it does have real ale, food, and is in the UK, then it should probably belong to the UK, Food, and Real-ale discussion group...

Thanks Gene

Do you by chance have any connection with this pub?

Last I knew it was a managed house, under what used to be the BASS M&B flag. Quite what way the management ownership there has gone in recent times I don't know.

Beer has been pleasant for a few years or so but you will note the local branch favour the other pub about 30 yards down the road (Malt Shovel)

The only beer regularly worth drinking used to be the "guest" which co-incidentally would be the same "guest" as in a large number of similar hostelries in the area.
