Nice (Cote d'Azur) recommendations

We're off for a short visit to Nice soon. (Dirt cheap Jet2 tickets).

Is there any beer worth drinking in and around Nice or should I just stick to wine? The guide book suggests that beerwise, it's just the big, bland brands.

Just a bit of infos reported in italian beer newsgroup it.hobby.birra:

DE KLOMP (reported in 2003)

6, rue Mascolinat - Vieux Nice Many Belgian beers: 18 on tap and many more bottles.

LA CERVOISERIE (reported in 2000, no more news, may be closed?) rue Trachel 50 (near boulevard Gambetta, station, russian church)

12-14 18-24, closed sundays. Besides offering 100 bottles, it is (was) also a small brewpub. Also restaurant.

ciao max

Seconded this one and nice to know it's still going. When I went about 10 years ago the barman was a Geordie! Excellent live jazz too.
