I chose a 1989 Produttori del Barbaresco Barbaresco for dinner. Nose of tar,

I still have Rabaja and Asili - very nice Barbarescos indeed.

I finished up my regular 1985 about a year ago. This producer is one of the most reliable co-ops I can think of.

Plus as they're firmly in the traditionalists camp, and are inexpensive (for Barbaresco, at least), great bets for mid-to-long aging. I even think their basic Langhe is good most vintages.
