Husch Wines

Has anyone had experience with Husch Vineyards in Anderson Valley, California? We're located too far away to visit their tasting room, so recommendations would be appreciated. Red or white is not an issue with us.

I've visited them on a couple of occasions and drunk various of their wines over the past 25 years. What exactly did you want to know about them?

We have visited them on a couple occassions, and were members of their 'club' for 3 or 4 years. For what it's worth, our reactions (your mileage may vary);

  • We really enjoyed some of their Chardonnays. They make a number of different, but some of the more expensive Reserve, or named vineyard, labels were exceptional.
  • They were sending a great many Pinot's as part of the club. Some we liked, others we didn't care for. None were 'jump up and take notice' wines.
  • There was a Gewurtztraminer that we enjoyed - don;t remember the name.
  • All of the wines were quite reasonably priced.
  • We haven;t had any new Husch wines for a couple years

If you do get a chance, their tasting room is well worth a visit. A beautiful location, and exceptionally friendly staff.

We are located in the Northwest and love comparing Washington, Oregon, and California whites. Just wondered if they had anything exceptional. Their prices seem very reasonable.

Thanks Ric. I think we will include them on our annual trip south this year.
