TN: Hopler GV

Höpler is known to make Grüner Veltliner in a rather soft style (no wonder, his grapes grow in Burgenland, not the number one provenance for this fruit). Try to get your hands on a wine from Bründlmayer, Nigl, Knoll, Prager, or FX Pichler.

Thanks for the reply, Michael. To my amazement, all five of those names showed up in the PA Liquor Control Board catalog, though the Prager has to be special-ordered.

I'm a displaced Pennsylvanian, anyway, who was pleasantly surprised to find Kracher TBAs at the Bethel Park store while home last month for a wedding!

I only stated names I knew to be imported to the US, but I'm glad to hear that they are readily available to you. For best results, try at least one in the standard (up to 12.5% alc.) and one in the premium category (13% and up).
